How Do I Play?
1. Add the Library Bingo card to GoodNotes and keep track of which squares you have completed with stickers or checkmarks.
2. Every time you complete a square, let us know with the Library Bingo Google Form.
3. When you have a Bingo blackout, share your card with the library (before Thanksgiving Break) for a fabulous prize!

Log into the library catalog
Whenever you use the library catalog, you will need to log in to leave reviews, make lists, set up “My Interests,” and see what you have checked out. You can do this by clicking “Guest” in the upper right corner and choosing “Login via SSO.” Then, use your Dana Hall email to log in!
Review a Summer Reading book in the library catalog
- Visit our library catalog and log in (see above for how to do that!)
- Search for a book you read from the Summer Reading List.
- Click on the book cover to see the detail view; then click on Write a review underneath the book cover.
- Once librarians have approved your review, other students will be able to see what you thought in the Reviews tab. You might even help them pick a book to read next summer!
Make a book list in the library catalog and share the link with the librarians
- Visit our library catalog and log in (see above for how to do that!)
- Think of a theme for a book list you would like to see featured on the library catalog homepage. This can be anything — “My Top 10 Favorite Books,” “Books About Octopuses,” “Heartbreaking Romances,” etc.
- Add 5-10 books to “My List.” First, search for a book. Then, you can drag its cover up to “My List” at the top of the page OR click its title and look for Add to My List below the cover.
- When your list is ready, click on “My List” at the top of the page and then choose “Options.” Under “Options,” you should see Get Link. Copy this link and share it with the librarians using the Library Bingo Google Form.
Add a genre to My Interests in the library catalog
- Visit our library catalog and log in (see above for how to do that!)
- Watch the video below to learn how to add a favorite genre to My Interests and get alerted whenever the library adds a new book in that genre.
Explore Visual Search in the library catalog
This one is easy! All you need to do is go to the library catalog and look for Visual Search in the top menu bar. Visual Search is a quick and easy way to find books by genre, to see recommendations, or to find Read the World and other reading challenge books. Can you find a tile for one of your favorite genres or hobbies? Are there any books you liked in the “If You Liked…” tile? Explore!
Check something out on Sora
Sora is the library’s app for ebooks, audiobooks, and magazines. It’s a core app, so it should already be on your iPad, but feel free to add it to your phone!

Get a Boston Public Library ecard
- Visit the Get an eCard page on the BPL website and click “Register for an eCard.”
- You will need a Massachusetts address — if you are a boarder, you can use your address at Dana Hall!
- Once you have an ecard, you will have access to all of the BPL’s incredible online resources, including ebooks and audiobooks on Libby, movies and TV on Kanopy, and amazing research databases.
Pick up a library card at the Wellesley Free Library
Visit the Wellesley Free Library (across from Bardwell!) and bring your Dana Hall school ID. That’s all you need!
If you already have a library card in Wellesley or one of the other Minuteman Library Network libraries, you can check this square off right away.

Just come visit us and grab a bookmark of your choice from the circulation desk! Be sure to say hi to the librarian or library page on duty. 😀
