The delightful and gracious Liz Kessler, author of the Emily Windsnap series as well as other popular titles (A Year Without Autumn, North of Nowhere) visited Dana Hall yesterday. As part of her book tour to promote the sixth book in the Emily Windsnap series, Emily Windsnap and the Ship of Lost Souls, Kessler spoke to 6th grade students about writing, read the poetry she wrote at age 9, told stories of her dalmatian Poppy the Pirate Dog, and signed books for eager fans. She also teased two of her upcoming books, YA coming-of-age novel Read Me Like A Book, which has already arrived in the UK to great praise, and the book she only just finished, a “ghost story love triangle” called Haunt Me.
